It happens to all of us.

Sometimes, we get lost, we loos the sense of direction, we stop doing what we usually do, we get bogged down with other issues and problems

Do you feel like that sometimes?

Like life just hijacked you to its own agenda and nothing seems to go right anymore.

You forgot to attend your own needs, care about your big project or plans and everything else seems to be much bigger than your needs.

Fun fact: my clients seem to go through the very same rough patches that I go through, at the same time 😉

I remember that tough time when I went through one episode like this and I thought to myself ” I cannot do this [life] like this anymore!”

Do you know what I am talking about? Can you relate?

The good news is that there is always a way out of there and I want to offer you 3 tips which you can use to pull yourself out of this funk, always!

  1. Introduce (or re-introduce) a powerful morning routine! There is nothing more powerful than a strong habit right in the morning which puts you in your right state of mind. Start with 15 minutes of meditation, add a bit of journaling afterwards and when you feel solid in the routine add yoga or a bit of movement. It can be a 2 minute silly dancing in your kitchen while you wait for your coffee to brew.
  2. Schedule pleasurable commitments in your calendar! Your mind will have something to look forward and even when the day you are going through is not your best one, you can already look forward to something nice tomorrow. I am talking regular meetings, activities or commitments. I know we all hate the word commitment but my morning yoga classes 3 times a week are as least commitment as you can imagine. My clients do volunteering, taking kids to school kind of commitments but trust me – what seemed once like a burden or obligation, can be a true life saver on a chaotic day. The regularity of this will bring you sense of stability and purpose.
  3. Talk to someone who gets you! We all have that friend, coach, family member who is more like our kind of person. It does not matter if there are thousands of people out there who do not get you, that special one can help to shift your mood as powerfully as those thousands worsen it!

I hope the suggestions will help and that you will remember them when needed.

For now, happy returns to yourself!

xoxo Andrea
